Agents of the National Police have arrested this Sunday a 23-year-old man, a resident of Burgos, as the

alleged perpetrator of the death of a young man from Valladolid

who was having a bachelor party in the Plaza de la Flora in Burgos in the early morning of Saturday.

As indicated by the National Police in a statement, the detainee delivered a "very strong punch" to the victim, which caused his death practically instantaneously, and the trigger could have been the deceased's status as a resident of Valladolid, although he still The motivation for the attack is being investigated.

The death of the young man from Valladolid, 32 years old, was reported around 5:00 a.m. on Saturday and at first the testimonies collected during the police action did not indicate that he had suffered a possible attack, although the forensic analysis and the efforts carried out by the Provincial Judicial Police Brigade of the National Police established the possibility that, in the sequence of events that led to the death of the young man, third parties could have intervened.

Thus, and after managing

to identify several of the young people who were in the area at the time of death,

it was determined late Saturday night that the victim had suffered an unexpected attack with a punch that caused his death.

Once the intentional nature of the death was established, early this Sunday the National Police identified and arrested a 23-year-old young man, a resident of Burgos, as the perpetrator of the attack.

The National Police has indicated that the investigation has been especially complex given the initial lack of testimonies that led to the assumption of a non-violent death and the difficulty of identifying the young people involved and for them to clearly remember the events, given the time at which occurred and the level of alcohol intoxication of many of them.

The arrested person will be brought to justice once the police report is completed.
