A 16-year-old girl dies in Algemesí hit by a car whose driver has been arrested

A 16-year-old girl died this Sunday after being hit by a car on Ronda Calvari in the municipality of

Algemesí (Valencia),

as reported by the Emergency Information and Coordination Center (CICU).

Agents of the National Police of the Homicide Group and the Scientific Police of Valencia, supported by the Alzira-Algemesí Police Station, have taken charge of the investigations and

have arrested a 19-year-old male,

of Algerian nationality, as the alleged perpetrator. of homicide.

The accident occurred at 5:40 a.m., and the CICU mobilized a SAMU unit, a basic life support unit and a Primary Care doctor to the area.

Upon arrival, the basic life support health team and the Primary Care doctor began basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the 16-year-old girl.

Once on scene, the SAMU medical team continued advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation and other advanced life support techniques, but there was no response and they confirmed his death.
