The British government organization Good Governance Fund has announced that it is accepting applications for funding projects that are aimed at promoting reforms in Ukraine “oriented toward joining the European Union.”

“Providing constructive and additional support for public administration reform with a focus on Ukraine’s accession negotiations with the European Union,” the document says.

Non-profit organizations (NPOs), think tanks, and research companies can take part.

They will have to develop and implement appropriate initiatives, the foundation explained.

In addition, the Good Governance Fund plans to support Ukraine’s “green recovery” program, as well as gender equality and increasing women’s participation in the economy.

The fund is ready to finance proposals aimed at helping Ukrainian entrepreneurs “become a source of sustainable economic growth.”

Earlier, former head of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker said that Ukraine is unlikely to become a member of the EU in the next five years.
