During the festival, which runs from February 23 to 25, viewers will be treated to documentary screenings and premieres.
In the business part there are round tables, meetings with authors and characters of paintings, musicians and poets, and military officers.
“A low bow and thanks to all the heroes of these wonderful films, to everyone who was not included in them, who is now defending our Motherland, our truth, our Russian world,” Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of RT and MIA Rossiya Segodnya, thanked the special military fighters in a video message operations and their relatives and friends who are waiting for them at home.
As part of the ceremony, a presentation of the free online documentary cinema artel.doc took place, in which all documentaries of the International Documentary Film Festival “RT.Doc: Time of Heroes” will be available for viewing.
“Masterpieces of documentary filmmaking leave a lasting mark on the memory and become a chronicle of history.
I am sure that the festival’s films will find a place not only in the archives and evidence base of the crimes of the Kyiv regime, but also in the hearts of viewers in Russia and around the world,” said Maria Zakharova, official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
The opening film was the documentary by RT director Klim Poplavsky “Military Correspondents-3: He Prays in the Language of God” - about the off-screen life of RT Arabic correspondent Sargon Khaday.
It was previously reported that the presentation of the collection “Poetry of the Russian Summer” took place at the 25th fair of intellectual literature Non/fiction.
