The occupation army announced today, Saturday, that 7 soldiers were injured in clashes last Thursday in the Gaza Strip, amid the continuation of fierce battles in Khan Yunis, south of the Strip, and the Zaytoun neighborhood in its center, while the Gaza Ministry of Health said that the number of victims of the ongoing aggression on the Strip reached 29,606 martyrs.

The Israeli army did not add any information about the nature of the battles that led to the injury of 7 soldiers and officers in the Gaza Strip.

This brought the number of Israeli soldiers who were injured since the beginning of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip on October 7 to 2,962, including 1,397 injured since the beginning of the ground attack on the 27 of the same month.

The battles continue

Meanwhile, clashes continue between Palestinian resistance factions and the occupation forces in the city of Khan Yunis and the Zaytoun neighborhood.

The Al-Quds Brigades - the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement - announced that it had bombed with mortar shells gatherings of Israeli soldiers and military vehicles on the front lines of Khan Yunis.

The Israeli army said that its forces are engaged in fierce battles in Khan Yunis, adding that forces from the 162nd Division continue to fight in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, south of Gaza City.

The clashes intensified in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood two days ago, and the resistance factions announced that they had targeted occupation vehicles and soldiers several times in the area.

The number of martyrs is increasing

In a related development, the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced that 29,606 Palestinians were martyred in the Israeli aggression on the Strip since the seventh of last October, while 69,737 others were injured.

The Ministry confirmed that the occupation committed 8 massacres, claiming 92 martyrs and 123 injuries during the past 24 hours.

The Palestinian News Agency said that 6 Palestinians were martyred and others were injured when occupation aircraft targeted a number of homes in Nuseirat, Bureij, and Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.

The agency added that occupation aircraft bombed two homes, killing 5 Palestinians and wounding others.

Al Jazeera's correspondent also reported that the bodies of two martyrs were recovered after the Israeli army opened fire in Khan Yunis.

The bombing continues

Al Jazeera's correspondent added that the occupation launched a series of raids and fire belts east of Khan Yunis, stressing that the occupation aircraft targeted the town of Khuza'a, where the occupation destroyed all the homes under the pretext of establishing a buffer zone, according to what the Israeli "B'Tselem" organization announced.

The Palestinian News Agency indicated that the neighborhoods of Al-Sabra, Tal Al-Hawa and Al-Daraj in Gaza City were subjected to intense artillery shelling, leaving dozens injured.

She said that the occupation artillery fired several shells near shelter centers and tents for the displaced in Al-Mawasi, west of the city of Rafah.
