The cities and villages of the West Bank live daily under the impact of Israeli attacks and incursions (Anatolia)

On Saturday, the Israeli occupation forces continued their attacks in the West Bank and were confronted by resistance fighters in villages and towns, while official figures were issued on the number of detainees since last October 7.

The Israeli occupation forces stormed the Arroub camp, north of Hebron in the West Bank, with large numbers of foot soldiers, after a group of young men threw Molotov cocktails at the military tower located at the entrance to the camp.

The occupation soldiers fired live bullets, stun grenades and tear gas, and prevented Palestinian citizens from performing the sunset prayer in a mosque at the entrance to the camp under the threat of gunfire before they withdrew from the place.

Medical sources reported that a Palestinian was injured by a bullet in the head during the Israeli occupation forces’ storming of the town of Kafr Qaddum, east of Qalqilya in the West Bank.

Al Jazeera's correspondent said that the occupation forces detained the injured person in the ambulance.

The town witnessed confrontations between Palestinian youths and occupation soldiers, who fired bullets at the protesters.

Israeli occupation army forces stormed the village of Qaryut, southeast of the city of Nablus in the West Bank.

Eyewitnesses reported that the occupation forces stormed the village, firing live bullets and tear gas bombs towards Palestinian homes.

Confrontations broke out with the village youth who went out to confront the raid.

Provocative appearance

In northern Nablus, the Israeli occupation forces re-closed the entrance to the village of Bazaria with dirt barriers after opening it for several days.

The occupation forces closed the entrance to the village after October 7, as part of security measures that included closing dozens of Palestinian towns in the West Bank.

Al Jazeera's correspondent reported that the occupation forces stormed the eastern outskirts of the town of Ya'bad in Jenin Governorate, where two military vehicles advanced towards the entrance of the town in a provocative appearance against the Palestinians, and confrontations broke out as the forces left the town.

In a related context, a statement issued by the Prisoners’ and Ex-Prisoners’ Affairs Authority and the Prisoners’ Club stated that the total number of occupation arrests in the West Bank since October 7 rose to about 7,210.

The statement came after the Israeli occupation forces arrested at least 22 Palestinians from the West Bank on Friday and Saturday, including journalist Sami Al-Saei, two children and former prisoners.

According to the statement, the arrest operations were concentrated in the governorates of Bethlehem and Hebron (south), Ramallah, occupied Jerusalem (central), Tulkarm, and Nablus (north), and were accompanied by widespread acts of abuse, severe beatings, and threats against detainees and their families, in addition to widespread acts of sabotage and destruction of Palestinian homes.
