Ahead of the second anniversary of Russia's military invasion of Ukraine, the United Nations Security Council once again exchanged accusations between Russia and the West, which supports Ukraine.

On the other hand, African countries affected by soaring food prices have expressed their desire for a swift resolution of the situation through negotiations, and differences in the positions of each country have come to light.

At the Security Council's ministerial meeting held on the 23rd, UN Secretary-General Guterres began by saying, ``The United Nations Charter and international law are guidelines for creating a world free of war, and Russia's invasion of Ukraine violated both of them. "We have fought for two years, suffered for two years, and international relations have been strained for two years. Enough is enough," he said, calling for the need to protect Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The meeting was attended by British Foreign Minister Cameron, French Foreign Minister Séjournet, and Japanese Deputy Foreign Minister Tsuji, who once again criticized Russia and emphasized solidarity with Ukraine.

Ukraine's Foreign Minister Kuleba also said, ``When future generations look back on this era, they will wonder why one country was destroying world peace and security and the international community did not act. "If you wish, please provide us with air defense systems and ammunition," he said, asking for continued support from other countries.

In response, Russia's Ambassador to the United Nations Nebenzha reiterated his previous claim that the operation was a military operation to protect ethnic Russians in eastern Ukraine, and criticized Ukraine and Western countries.

On the other hand, some African members of the Council called on both Russia and Ukraine to quickly enter into negotiations without preconditions, noting that developing countries around the world have been affected by soaring food prices over the past two years. As the military invasion became more protracted, differences in the positions of each country came to the fore once again.
