The diplomat said this in an interview with RIA Novosti.

The agency's interlocutor emphasized that this decision of Lithuania will not affect Russians who travel by train to the Kaliningrad region using a simplified travel document, since in such cases passengers can board or exit the train only at the final stations.

At the same time, Zakharova noted that “there is another attempt by Vilnius to create additional difficulties for Russians and Belarusians by any means.”

Zakharova said that Russia will seek from Lithuania and the EU the fulfillment of political and legal obligations for uninterrupted Kaliningrad transit - both passenger and cargo.

Earlier it was reported that Lithuania would prohibit Russians from disembarking from trains at Kyana and Kybartai stations.

Later, Russian Railways noted that Lithuania’s decision to ban passengers from disembarking will not affect trains to Kaliningrad.
