The seven accused, tried at the trial of the Trèbes and Carcassonne attacks, received sentences ranging from one to four years in prison. 

Sentences of up to four years in prison were handed down on Friday by the Paris Special Assize Court against seven defendants tried since the end of January in the trial of the attacks in Trèbes and Carcassonne which left four dead in 2018. The sentences range from six months to four years, and are significantly lower than those requested by the prosecution.

Four of the five defendants tried for terrorist conspiracy were acquitted of this offense.

Only Marine Pequignot, the radicalized girlfriend of the attacker, was found guilty of this offense, but will not return to prison.
