The European official said this during a briefing.

According to Stano, the EU did not interrupt channels of communication with Moscow.

“And we need, at least from the European side, from the point of view of institutions, to keep these channels of communication open, at least in order to convey our position to the Kremlin,” RIA Novosti quotes him.

On February 23, the European Union included 194 individuals and legal entities in the 13th package of sanctions against Russia.

The new package of sanctions also includes 27 organizations, including enterprises from India, Sri Lanka, China, Serbia, Kazakhstan, Thailand and Turkey.

The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as a response to the introduction by the European Union of the 13th package of anti-Russian sanctions, has expanded the list of European representatives who are prohibited from entering Russia.
