Hezbollah mourns two Lebanese medics who died in an Israeli bombing of southern Lebanon (French)

Today, Friday, Lebanese Hezbollah announced that it targeted the headquarters of the Regional Council in Kiryat Shmona with two drones, confirming that the target was accurately hit, while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu inspected the headquarters of the army’s Northern Command.

Hezbollah said it attacked 12 Israeli sites off the southern border of Lebanon and in the occupied Shebaa Farms.

He added that his fighters bombed with dozens of Katyusha rockets the Kaila Barracks in the occupied Syrian Golan.

It also targeted the headquarters of the Eastern Brigade in the Kiryat Shmona barracks, and bombed the Yoav barracks. The party also targeted a house in the Kfar Yuval settlement in which Israeli soldiers were stationed, and two buildings in which soldiers were holed up in the Manara and Metulla settlements, in response to the Israeli attacks on villages in southern Lebanon.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah announced the killing of one of its members in clashes with the Israeli army across the border, and mourned two Lebanese medics who died in an Israeli bombing that targeted the towns of Blida and Barashit in southern Lebanon.

Civil Defense indicated that 3 other people were injured, one of whom was described as being in critical condition.

Thus, Hezbollah's death toll rises to 211 since last October 8, according to Anadolu Agency.

Al Jazeera's correspondent quoted a security source as saying that an Israeli drone fired two missiles at a residential building in the town of Kafr Rumman in the vicinity of the city of Nabatieh, causing injuries.

Israeli fighter jets also launched raids on the towns of Blida, Maroun al-Ras, Khiam, and Kafr Kila in southern Lebanon.

Netanyahu inspects the north

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, during his inspection of the army’s Northern Command headquarters, said that his goal in the north is to restore security and return the population either through political or military means.

In the wake of a devastating Israeli war on the Gaza Strip that led to Tel Aviv being brought before the International Court of Justice on charges of “genocide,” since October 8, 2023, the Israeli-Lebanese border has witnessed an exchange of fire between the Israeli army on the one hand, and Hezbollah and Palestinian factions on the other hand. It led to deaths and injuries on both sides of the border.

Recently, threats have escalated from Israeli officials to expand attacks on Lebanese territory unless Hezbollah fighters withdraw away from the border with northern Israel.
