China News Service, Sao Paulo, February 22. On the 22nd local time, the two-day G20 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting concluded in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Brazilian Foreign Minister Vieira said at a press conference after the meeting that the representatives attending the meeting almost unanimously supported the "two-state solution" to solve the Palestinian-Israeli issue.

  Vieira said that when discussing geopolitical tensions, many countries expressed concerns about the conflict between Palestine and Israel and the risk of the conflict spreading to neighboring countries.

Delegates attending the meeting almost unanimously supported the "two-state solution" and believed that this was the only possible solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

  Vieira pointed out that some representatives at the meeting urged ensuring immediate and unimpeded access of humanitarian relief supplies to the Gaza Strip and called for a cessation of hostilities.

Many representatives also opposed Israel's announced attack on Rafah, calling on the Israeli government to reconsider and immediately suspend the operation.

  Vieira said that when discussing the issue of global governance reform, representatives at the meeting agreed that major international institutions such as the United Nations, World Trade Organization, World Bank and International Monetary Fund should be reformed to cope with the challenges of today's world.

  Vieira announced at the press conference that this meeting is the first foreign ministers’ meeting of the G20 this year, and the second foreign ministers’ meeting will be held during the United Nations General Assembly in September.

  45 delegations from G20 members, guest countries and international organizations attended this meeting.

Chinese Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Ma Zhaoxu led a delegation to attend the meeting.

  Brazil has officially held the rotating presidency of the G20 since December 1 last year.
