On the eve of the opening of the Salon de l'Agriculture, Emmanuel Macron is eagerly awaited.

Gabriel Attal's latest announcements on Wednesday do not seem to have aroused widespread satisfaction among farmers.

And yet, the government is responding.

A few hours before the opening of the doors of the Salon de l'Agriculture in Paris, the executive is expected.

Gabriel Attal's latest announcements have not satisfied farmers.

Beyond the sum of 400 million euros put on the table, it must be recognized that the executive has seriously taken up the matter.

“We cannot change administrative mentalities with a single snap of the finger”

The increase in the tax on non-road diesel was quickly lifted and the Écophyto plan aimed at reducing the use of pesticides was quickly suspended.

Paris also obtained concessions from Brussels, and it was not won.

"Apparently, the instructions have been passed. It will take time to judge on the ground. As you know, we do not change administrative mentalities with a single snap of the finger."

Another reason for dissatisfaction that remains: the question of income.

Gabriel Attal announced a new Egalim law to protect farmers' remuneration during trade negotiations.

This would be the fourth and the effectiveness of the first remains to be demonstrated.
