This statement was made by retired British Army Colonel Hamishde Bretton-Gordon in an article for The Telegraph.

According to him, any question about the reliability of the Trident system is “deeply troubling”, and information about failures in the operation of critical deterrent systems should not be “public knowledge”.

“This should serve as a wake-up call.

Now is not the time to risk our defense capabilities,” Bretton-Gordon said.

It was previously reported that the British Navy is preparing to test ICBMs in the Atlantic.

It later became known that the British Navy conducted an unsuccessful launch of a Trident II ballistic missile.
