presenting a newscast uninterruptedly

on the same network is

Ana Blanco

who, after more than three decades on public television

,

has decided at 63 years old to take early retirement, which will take effect on December 29. March.

Ana Blanco is not family.

And it has been since

she debuted before the cameras on September 15, 1990 with

Francine Gálvez.

Throughout her long career she has won

Jesús Álvarez retires: his beginnings, his friend Letizia, his 'brother' Matías Prats and his father-in-law, the businessman Emiliano Revilla, kidnapped by ETA

He has survived the Gulf War, the kidnapping of Miguel Ángel Blanco, the attacks of 9/11 and 11/M (his blood still runs cold), Indurain's victory in the Tour, the abdication of Juan Carlos I, the wedding of Felipe VI and Letizia...

It is impossible to find someone who puts any negative adjective in their mouth.

Ana Blanco is

democratic

.

Everyone likes her.

Among her colleagues she enjoys great respect and admiration.

When LOC contacted some of them (them, in this case),

praise poured in.

As president of the Television Academy and colleague of the Telediario,

María Casado

(44) confessed to us that "

Ana Blanco has been, is and will be a reference for the journalist in this country

. There is no one like her. Someone who has told us "Everything that has happened in our country with restraint and professionalism, far from prominence and egos. As a partner she is a ten, one of the best on TVE. I admire her and I love her."

It seems like it was yesterday, but when Núria Ribó (73) worked as a correspondent for TVE (1980-1997) in New York and London, she had live connections with the protagonist of this article on many occasions.

From her summer refuge in Cadaqués, the Catalan journalist argues that

"she is a great professional, very formal

and that is why she was different in the tone of the La 2 Newscast and in the few times that I have seen her in person she is very cordial, charming and of unbeatable treatment".

As a good Bilbao native

, she loves squid in her ink,

from time to time she savors potato omelette or pasta and, of course, in her few free moments she listens to music (she started in Los 40 Principales) and is an avid reader.

Among her favorite authors are Paul Auster and Vargas Llosa

Because where you see her, so serious and hieratic, at short distances she is to be eaten.

She has

a great sense of humor

and loves to be made to laugh.

Another of her colleagues, Susanna Griso (52), highlights

"the serenity she transmits and her perfect diction"

and remembers that "I have met her in multiple coverages such as elections, summits, natural disasters...".
