  • Madrid Ayuso accuses the PSOE of being "in the hands of a brothel doorman" with the 'Koldo case': "Everything is as sordid as they like"

  • Politics Koldo, the "everything guy" in the Pedro Sánchez primaries who came from the hand of Santos Cerdán

The PP has taken hold in the 'Koldo case', and is not going to let go.

After the arrest of

Koldo García Izaguirre

, advisor to former minister

José Luis Ábalos

, for the alleged collection of illegal commissions on the sale of masks during the worst of the pandemic, the popular people are going to demand "resignations" and "responsibilities" from the leadership of the Socialist Party.

And they already point to

Pedro Sánchez

as the ultimate person responsible for what happened in this plot investigated by the Civil Guard.

The general secretary of the PP,

Cuca Gamarra

, called this Thursday for the "immediate resignation" of the deputy José Luis Ábalos, who "continues to be supported by the Socialist Group and the PSOE."

"He cannot remain one more minute, because we know that this whole plot affects him as former number two of the PSOE and as former minister of the Government," stressed

Alberto Núñez Feijóo

's number two in statements to the media in the Congress of Deputies. .

But the PP wants to aim higher.

Both Gamarra and the party's national spokesperson,

Borja Sémper

, have assured that the entire plot of Ábalos's trusted man points directly to the President of the Government.

For Sémper, this case "challenges the maximum responsibility of the PSOE, which is Sánchez", and for Gamarra, the general secretary of the PSOE must give "explanations" regarding the plot, since "it directly affects him and has not convinced nobody" by saying he didn't know anything.

For Gamarra, the true reasons why Sánchez dismissed Ábalos as Minister of Public Works in 2021 are becoming clearer, given the "corruption plot" based in the Ministry itself and within the PSOE Government, he said.

The Rioja leader has urged Sánchez to explain why, knowing the reasons for Ábalos' dismissal, he did not report this entire plot to Justice, as he should have done.

But the truth is that the President of the Government has said that he was not aware of this case when he decided to dismiss the then Minister of Transport.

Sémper has assured, during an interview on Telecinco's La Mirada Crítica that "the fundamental thing is transparency" and we must ask ourselves "why Ábalos was not suitable for minister" then and why "he is still a deputy" now.
