Travelers will have to comply with a new rule.

For the past week, the number of bags per person has been limited.

A rule which was already applied in Ouigo, but which extends to TGV inOui as well as Intercités.

From now on, no more than two bags per person will be required.

Otherwise, watch out for the fine.

This is a new rule that has gone unnoticed.

For the past week, it has no longer been possible to leave with more than two pieces of luggage with you.

The rule was already in place in the Ouigo, but it now extends to the inOui as well as the Intercités.

But at Montparnasse station, few passengers are aware.

Although Christelle often takes the train, she was completely unaware of the new SNCF restriction.

“I saw nothing. There was nothing to change, nothing at all,” she regrets at the microphone of Europe 1.

There are no displays at the station either.

So this flight attendant, a regular on the Lorient-Paris line, welcomes the information with resignation.

"It's expensive enough. People aren't necessarily going to limit themselves on the number of bags. So, we're still going to have to put our hands in our wallets," she continues.

A fine of 50 euros

A little further on, on the terrace of a café, Lorie and Victoria are chatting over a drink.

For the two friends too.

And this measure raises questions.

“If there are families with children and with the new standards, we force them to have to restrict the number of bags, this can still drastically change their behavior,” underlines Lorie.

But despite these questions and the potential consequences, travelers will have no other choice but to comply.

In the event of a breach, the railway company specifies that offenders risk a fine of 50 euros.
