The Israeli occupation army once again bombed villages and towns in southern Lebanon, while Hezbollah announced the targeting of several Israeli sites today, Thursday, including the headquarters of the 769th Eastern Brigade in the Kiryat Shmona barracks.

The party said that its members targeted a building where Israeli enemy soldiers were stationed in the Kafr Yuval colony and achieved a direct hit. It also announced that it targeted with missiles the Ruwaisat Al-Alam and Al-Samaqa sites in the occupied Lebanese Shebaa Farms and also achieved direct hits.

Al Jazeera's correspondent reported that Hezbollah fired two missiles at an Israeli site in the occupied Kfar Shuba hills in southern Lebanon, and said that the Israeli occupation forces responded with raids targeting the towns of Khiam, Kafr Kila and Maroun al-Ras in southern Lebanon.

Israeli media also reported that the Israeli army bombed targets in southern Lebanon after launching a missile at the town of Yuval in the Galilee on the border with Lebanon.

Earlier today, Thursday, Israeli Army Radio reported that an anti-tank missile fired from Lebanon hit a house in the town of Kfar Yuval in the Upper Galilee in Israel, causing damage to the house but causing no casualties among those inside.

Israeli Army Radio also reported that an anti-tank missile was fired at the Kiryat Shmona settlement, but no casualties were reported.

Yesterday evening, Wednesday, Hezbollah announced that it had targeted the Israeli settlement of Metsova with Katyusha rockets, in response to Israel’s attacks on Lebanese villages and civilian homes in southern Lebanon.

The party said, in a statement, that its fighters “targeted the settlement of Metsofa with Katyusha rockets, in response to Israeli attacks on villages and civilian homes, especially the attack on civilians in the town of Majdal Zoun” in southern Lebanon.

Targeting Mitsofa represents a precedent, as the party has not previously targeted the settlement, which is about 3 kilometers from the border with Lebanon, and includes an iron factory, tourist places, and a military barracks, among other vital facilities.

Hezbollah said in another statement yesterday, Wednesday, that its fighters targeted "a military position of Israeli enemy soldiers in the Avivim settlement, with appropriate weapons, and killed and wounded those inside it."

Israel has intensified its raids on southern Lebanon over the past two weeks, resulting in casualties, the most recent of which was a Lebanese woman and a child who were killed yesterday, Wednesday, as a result of an Israeli raid that targeted the town of Majdal Zoun in the Tire governorate in the south of the country.

Since October 8, the Israeli-Lebanese border has witnessed mutual bombardment between the occupation army on the one hand, and the Lebanese Hezbollah and Palestinian factions on the other hand, amid regional and international warnings about the development of the situation on the border into a broader war.
