Baku considers today's Armenia as a "West Azerbaijan", regrets the Armenian Prime Minister on France 24.

According to him, President Ilham Aliyev does not want a peace treaty based on mutual recognition of territorial integrity but rather to seize new territories in Armenia.

Concerning France's military aid to his country, the Prime Minister rejects Baku's accusations - according to which Paris is throwing fuel on the fire - and emphasizes that Azerbaijan, for its part, spends "billions of euros" for its own armament.

He reaffirms that Russia "openly called on the Armenian population to overthrow power" a few months ago.

Nikol Pashinian adds that this “propaganda” from Moscow against him is not weakening.

The Armenian Prime Minister says he is particularly concerned by the kidnapping of Russian deserter Dimitri Setrakov by Russian soldiers in Armenia.

“We cannot tolerate illegal acts” on our territory, he said, and warned that there would be “consequences” if Yerevan’s demands remained unanswered.

He also explains that Armenia's participation in the collective security treaty (OCST) dominated by Moscow is "frozen", while affirming that the question of maintaining the Russian military base in Armenia is not on the agenda of the day.
