Struck claimed that the Palestinians have no right to establish their own state (Israeli press)

Israeli Settlement Minister Orit Struck claimed that there is no Palestinian people and that the Palestinians have no right to establish a state of their own, in conjunction with the leak of information about the imminent announcement of an American-Arab plan to activate the principle of the two-state solution.

In a speech in the Knesset (Parliament) on Wednesday, Struck said, “Everyone in the world knows that this is our land. It is the land of Israel and ours only.”

In a video clip of her speech that she published today, Thursday, on the X platform, Struck claimed that “every educated person in the world knows that we were displaced from it (the land of Palestine), and we learned over the years in the diaspora and our enemies and those who hate us also learned that we will return,” she said.

She added, "For this reason, there will never be a Palestinian state in the Land of Israel, because there is no Palestinian people, there is no such people," as she put it.

Strok belongs to the extremist Religious Zionism Party, which is led by Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich.

She said that her rejection of the establishment of a Palestinian state is not only “because it is undeserved and without a historical right, but also because it constitutes an existential threat to Israel and world peace.”

Arab Member of the Knesset, Ayman Odeh, responded to Struck’s statements, saying, “What threatens world peace is the occupation.”

It should be noted that Israel was established on usurped Palestinian land in 1948, after armed Zionist gangs displaced the Palestinians from their lands.

Palestinian state

On Wednesday, the Knesset voted overwhelmingly to adopt a resolution rejecting unilateral recognition of the Palestinian state.

The decision was approved by 99 representatives, against 9 opposition, out of the 120 members of the Knesset.

International criticism was directed at Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich after he said last May that there is no Palestinian people.

Last week, the American newspaper "Washington Post" talked about an American-Arab plan expected to be announced within the next few weeks, which includes a strict timetable for establishing a Palestinian state.
