On Thursday, Israeli occupation army aircraft and artillery intensively bombed the residential neighborhoods of Rafah, crowded with displaced persons in the southern Gaza Strip, while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed to Bloomberg that he had instructed the Israeli army to prepare a plan to evacuate the city’s residents before launching the ground attack.

Al Jazeera's correspondent reported that Israeli fighter jets destroyed the Al-Farouq Mosque in the center of the Shaboura camp at dawn on Thursday.

The bombing led to the complete destruction of the mosque and damage to the houses adjacent to it.

Israeli aircraft also bombed 5 other mosques.

Which caused the death of 6 Palestinians, the injury of others, and the loss of a number of others.

Netanyahu: Israel has one goal, which is to eliminate Hamas (Reuters)

This comes as Netanyahu said in a short phone interview with Bloomberg. The Israeli army is currently preparing a plan to evacuate the residents of Rafah, and will present it soon, stressing that “Israel has one simple goal in the Gaza Strip, which is to eliminate the Hamas movement and release our hostages, and we will not despair until We achieve complete victory."

A few days ago, Reuters on Monday quoted Israeli and regional officials as saying that Israel expects to continue large-scale combat operations in the Gaza Strip for another 6 to 8 weeks, as part of its preparations to launch a ground attack in the city of Rafah.

World leaders fear a massive humanitarian catastrophe in Rafah, adjacent to the Egyptian border, which houses more than a million displaced people who have no place to seek refuge.

Without a plan

In a related context, Bloomberg reported, citing informed sources, that Israeli officials secretly acknowledge that they do not have a specific strategy for how to transfer 1,200,000 civilians from Rafah, or how long it will take, or where they will go.

The agency explained that Western officials believe that Israel will carry out its military operation in Rafah, whatever the cost, but they are concerned about the deadline for the attack that was set in the month of Ramadan, and about the broader humanitarian strategy followed.

Bloomberg added that Israel's allies are concerned that the longer the war lasts, the greater the possibility of Israel losing any support it enjoyed among Arab countries.

The agency said that Washington and its allies are pressuring Israel for details on how it plans to move the civilian population north.

Since last October 7, Israel has been waging a devastating war on the Gaza Strip that has left tens of thousands of victims, most of them children and women, in addition to an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe and a noticeable deterioration in infrastructure and property, according to Palestinian and UN data, which led to Israel being brought before a court. International Justice on charges of committing "genocide".
