Israeli press reports revealed that the occupation army's spokesman for the Arab media, Avichay Adraee, was the target of assassination in a ransacking and stabbing operation that took place in mid-January.

The Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported at the time that one of the perpetrators of the attack stabbed a woman and seized her car, before crashing into a roadblock, then seizing another car and continuing to run over Israelis.

The double ramming and stabbing attack in Raanana in Tel Aviv resulted in the death of an Israeli woman and the injury of at least 20, the condition of some of whom was described as critical and dangerous. Meanwhile, the occupation police announced the arrest of 3 Palestinians, including two near Hebron in the southern West Bank.

However, the newspaper "The Times of Israel" recently reported from the Israeli police that one of the perpetrators of the attack encountered Avichai Adraee in a restaurant, and pursued him, trying to stab him with a knife, while the newspaper "Jerusalem Post" said that police investigations revealed the plan of the perpetrators of the attack after Adraee survived the operation, and it will be issued. A ruling will be issued against the perpetrators of the attack in the coming days.

Between skepticism and minimization

The "Shabakat" program - in its episode on (2/22/2024) - monitored the interaction of social media platforms between those who doubted the truth of what the Israeli police reported regarding the assassination attempt against Adraee, and others who underestimated the importance of the latter because his position does not make a decision.

In this context, Vali commented on the case, questioning the occupation’s narrative. He said, “A month after the operation, the police did not say anything about an assassination attempt, and now they want to confuse us with this news?”

Salam agreed with the first opinion and said, “I mean, the operation was a month ago and was carried out and finished, and you are still awake. Do you know what its purpose was? What is the situation of the Israeli police?”

In turn, Qais described Avichai Adraee as “very provocative and angers many people, but he is just a spokesman for the army who does not make decisions and does not determine anything. His presence and absence are the same.”

According to Dalal, “The operation was a failure in Israeli security because the perpetrators were from the West Bank, and there were many security measures, but they penetrated into the interior, and this information proves a greater failure in knowing the details.”

As for Adraee, he was quick to respond to comments that mocked him and the attempt to assassinate him, and said, “My entire homeland, Israel, is targeted, and who are we in front of a great, ancient homeland like Israel,” according to his claim.
