The Komeito Party held an internal meeting in response to calls to allow the export of defense equipment jointly developed with other countries, such as the next generation of fighter jets, to third countries by the end of this month. There were a number of opinions asking for a detailed explanation of the necessity of the above.

As trilateral talks between the UK and Italy regarding the division of labor in the development of the next fighter jet are expected to begin in earnest from next month onwards, the government has asked the ruling party to give them a plan for defense equipment to be jointly developed with other countries by the end of this month. We are requesting that exports to the three countries be permitted.

In response to this, the New Komeito Party held a meeting, and Takagi, Chairman of the Political Affairs Research Council, said, ``When we decided on joint development, there was no discussion about exporting the finished product, but why are we exporting it?'' There are also indications that understanding is not deep enough."

At the meeting, the government explained what officials from both the Liberal Democratic Party and Komeito Party had been considering from April of last year until the end of the year.

There were a number of opinions from the members of parliament who attended, calling on the government to carefully explain the security necessity of allowing exports, and it was decided that the debate would continue.
