This is stated in the report based on the results of a survey conducted by the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR).

It is noted that Austria, Hungary, Greece, Italy and Romania are more inclined towards a peaceful settlement.

At the same time, Poland, Portugal and Sweden support the return of lost territories to Ukraine.

Earlier, a former operator of the Polish special forces unit "Grom", a military analyst known by the call sign Naval, expressed the opinion that Russia is too strong for Ukraine to ever regain lost territories.

Russian leader Vladimir Putin has repeatedly emphasized that the issue of Crimea is closed for Russia, and the referendum on the peninsula was held in strict accordance with international law. 

Crimea became a Russian region after a referendum took place there in March 2014: the majority of residents were in favor of reunification with Russia.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law according to which on September 30 the country will celebrate the Day of Reunification of the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions with Russia.
