In the

Central African Republic

, Crépin Mboli-Goumba, one of the opposition leaders, declares that Central African justice is in danger.

During a press conference on February 21, 2024 in Bangui, the president of the African Party for Radical Transformation and the Integration of States (Patrie), an opposition political group, affirmed that the Central African justice system is corrupt to the point of at the highest level of the judicial hierarchy.

Crépin Mboli-Goumba also denounces the control of the Minister of Justice, Arnaud Djoubaye-Abazene, over the work of judicial actors or even the non-compliance with texts for individual interests.

It is justice which gives content to democracy

,” he declared on the microphone of our correspondent,

Rolf-Steve Domia-Leu

.

However, today, this justice is no longer rendered in the name of the people.

We have unfortunately noted that the one who was the organizer of the dysfunction of justice is the Minister of State for Justice himself, through amply substantiated acts of corruption

Crépin Mboli-Goumba affirms: “

There are magistrates who lost their position because they opposed the minister's attempt to take control of justice, through the idea he has of his own interests.

Unfortunately, not all magistrates are aware of the need to serve justice in the name of the people.

We are already in a case of judicial vendetta and this has been promoted for three years.

But this judicial vendetta is coupled with a desire to despoil in order to unduly enrich oneself.

 »

He concludes: “

We decided to take stock of all those who have been robbed in this country.

I speak about this as a lawyer, otherwise it would be defamation.

I am able to provide irrefutable proof of everything I say by testimony of other magistrates and with documents too.

»

Contacted, the Central African Minister of Justice, accused, promised to react later.
