The American CNN channel said that it had seen UN documents that reported that the Israeli occupation army targeted a United Nations aid convoy carrying food supplies in the middle of the Gaza Strip on the fifth of this month.

CNN added that the Israeli army eventually prevented the trucks from advancing to the northern part of the Gaza Strip. She revealed that the occupation army rejected her repeated requests to comment on the raid.

Today, Wednesday, the Palestinian Red Crescent in Gaza confirmed the occurrence of deaths due to hunger, at a time when warnings were repeated internally and externally of the worsening famine in the Strip, in light of the scarcity of aid and the continuation of the Israeli aggression.

The director of government information in Gaza, Ismail Al-Thawabta, said yesterday that the residents of Gaza have entered an advanced stage of famine. He added in an interview with Al Jazeera that only 9 aid trucks had entered 10 days ago, and he appealed to open the Rafah crossing immediately to bring urgent aid into the Strip.

It is noteworthy that on December 23, the Security Council adopted a resolution calling for urgent steps to immediately allow the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip and create conditions for a ceasefire.
