During one of the conference sessions, the symposium organizer asked Clinton: “Are you not shocked by the high number of casualties in Gaza?” Hillary replied: “Of course, I am not shocked, because this is what happens in wars. But I am disturbed by this high number, “Israel has the right to defend itself, but we must also expect that Israel will do anything.”

Here, one of the attendees interrupted her, saying, “Israel is not defending itself, but rather it is genocide that they are financing, and then you are talking about women’s rights? Are you serious? What women’s rights are you talking about? There is genocide being committed by the United States of America, and the government that "You stand on her side."

The woman continued her harsh criticism of Clinton, "Now you are talking about cinema for peace. We are watching genocide cinema. You should be ashamed of yourself! You are not a woman! You are not a human being! Be ashamed of yourself! Palestine is free! You have blood on your hands!"

While the guards were escorting the woman out of the hall, the voice of one of the attendees rose, attacking Clinton, saying, “You are responsible for the killing of hundreds of Pakistanis. You supported the wars in Afghanistan, in Iraq, and throughout the Middle East.”

He continued, "You are a war criminal. You are a hypocrite. Shame on you. Shame on all of you because of the number of dead. Are their numbers small because they are in the East? Freedom for Palestine. Stop shooting now."

Clinton continued her speech by saying that it was “the greatest loss of life for the Jewish people since the Holocaust,” then a third person rose up and attacked her, saying, “How dare you talk about human rights, while Palestinians are being killed, all you care about is the rights of domination, shame on you, shame on you, freedom.” "For Palestine."

This is not the first time that the former US Secretary of State has faced a violent attack because of her position on the war that Israel has been waging in the Gaza Strip for about 5 months.

On November 30, 2023, she was harassed and chanted by a group of student demonstrators opposed to the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip as she was leaving Columbia University in New York.

According to the British newspaper The Independent, Clinton, who teaches at the university, was met with chants of “Shame on you, shame on you” as she left one of the buildings, and footage showed the students sitting in front of a large sign saying “Columbia’s hands are stained with blood,” and as she passed by them, “You support genocide,” they shouted.

The footage also showed dozens of students chanting for the presidential candidate in the 2016 elections, while she was surrounded by many people and walking down the aisle.

A few days before that, students from the university protested during a lecture that Clinton was giving about women’s participation in peace processes, where about 30 students stood up, collected their computers and backpacks, and joined dozens of other demonstrators who gathered in the lobby of the university building, in protest against the American position on the war. in Gaza.
