The festival in Moscow will open on Defender of the Fatherland Day with the premiere of RT documentary author Klim Poplavsky. The film “Military Correspondents-3: He Prays in the Language of God” is dedicated to the work of RT Arabic correspondent Sargon Hadai, who regularly films reports from the front lines. The festival will host several more premiere screenings. Viewers will see the film by documentarian Olga Kiriy and director Oleg Nekishev “Front-line diary of an American officer”, the work of military correspondent Semyon Pegov “Gorlovka special forces of housing and communal services”, the film by director Dmitry Zadorozhny “War and Peace” and other films.

“The festival’s films are a chronicle of what has happened over the past two years, these are stories from the front lines, filmed by fearless military officers about our heroes, fighters risking the most valuable thing - their own lives,” shares the general producer of “RT.Doc: Time of Heroes”, director documentary broadcasting RT Ekaterina Yakovleva.

The festival will feature business program events - meetings with the creators and characters of the films, discussions and round tables with journalists, experts and public figures, including TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov, general director of the SPAS TV channel Boris Korchevnikov, former American officer Scott Bennett, pranksters Vovan and Lexus and others.

Viewers will enjoy a poetry and music program with the participation of singer Yulia Chicherina, theater and film actor, poet Anton Shagin, leader of the rock group “Va-Bank” Alexander F. Sklyar, singer Django, the group “Zveroboy” and other poets and performers.

A new work by neoclassical composer Igor Skvortsov, “Forgiveness,” will also be presented.

In February 2023, the RT channel launched the 1st International Documentary Film Festival “RT.Doc: Time of Heroes” in Moscow.
