At a meeting attended by executives from public prosecutors' offices across the country, Minister of Justice Koizumi called on the Noto Peninsula Earthquake to take all possible precautions for crisis management on a daily basis in preparation for disasters.

In response, Minister of Justice Koizumi said, ``I have heard that the Noto Peninsula Earthquake caused some damage to the public prosecutor's office, including the destruction of some of its buildings, and I would like to express my respect to the staff who are carrying out their duties even under difficult circumstances.'' I hope that all possible measures will be taken to ensure crisis management in the event of a disaster, in preparation for any future emergencies."



Furthermore, Minister Koizumi stated that the public prosecutor's office is required to respond to changes in society against the background of the progress of computerization, and added, ``Issues that arise with changes, countermeasures, and issues such as the development of human resources who will lead the next generation'' We need constant discussion and continued practice regarding this issue."

Additionally, Prosecutor General Yukio Kai said, ``There are concerns about crimes taking advantage of the damage caused by the Noto Peninsula Earthquake, and I want these cases to be dealt with strictly.The public's trust in the public prosecutor's office is the foundation of the prosecutor's office's activities.
