  The "ICAC 50th Anniversary Celebration Reception and the Inauguration Ceremony of the Hong Kong International Institute of Integrity" was held at the Hong Kong Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) headquarters on the same day.   Li Jiachao pointed out that the purpose of establishing this new college is to support the arduous task of fighting corruption globally. The Institute of Integrity will provide training for anti-corruption personnel in Hong Kong and around the world, and will also provide a research and exchange center for anti-corruption experts from different regions around the world. As a recognized model of anti-corruption, I believe that the ICAC has strong capabilities to lead the Institute of Integrity to do relevant work.

After its establishment, the Institute of Integrity will form an "iron triangle" with the Independent Commission Against Corruption and the International Federation of Anti-Corruption Authorities to jointly promote anti-corruption work.

  According to reports, the college is currently co-organizing its first formal course with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, providing training to 35 anti-corruption professionals from 17 countries.

  On the day of the ceremony, the ICAC also signed a memorandum of cooperation with five institutions: Tsinghua University, Peking University, the University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and the University of Macau to strengthen anti-corruption research in different fields.

  The Hong Kong Independent Commission Against Corruption was established in February 1974. It is Hong Kong's agency dedicated to combating corruption. It has been operating independently since its establishment and has also been conducting long-term training for overseas anti-corruption personnel. Since 2017, it has provided training courses to approximately 1,100 anti-corruption agencies in 23 countries and regions, and discussed training cooperation with anti-corruption agencies in 68 countries and regions in Asia, Europe and Africa.
