The Minister of the Presidency, Justice and Relations with the Courts, Félix Bolaños, had planned to meet next Wednesday, February 28, with the Government Chamber of the Supreme Court but, yesterday afternoon, the magistrates were informed that "for reasons of "agenda" of the minister the meeting had to be postponed, according to legal sources. The meeting was set for 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday of next week and, at the time of going to press, no new date had been established for the meeting.

For their part, Justice sources explain that that day

Bolaños

has to go to the Congress of Deputies and that, later, he has another commitment at 2 p.m. so there would hardly be time left to deal with the Supreme Court, hence the request postpone the scheduled meeting or advance its time. However, this suspension has not gone down well with some members of the High Court who describe it as a gesture of "very little formality" on the part of the head of Justice or directly as a "full-fledged sit-in."

The meeting is part of the usual appointment that the different Ministers of Justice have with the highest governing body of the

High Court

after assuming the portfolio. However, different members of the Chamber consulted by EL MUNDO do not hide that the institutional normality between different powers of the State has been altered by the repeated attacks that judges of the TS and other members of the judicial career are receiving from parliamentary partners. by Pedro Sánchez.

The unrest within the High Court is enormous since, continuously, the independence movement is attacking the judges in charge of cases related to the

process

while the controversial

Amnesty Law is being processed.

Not in vain did the acting president of the TS,

Francisco Marín Castán

, even refuse to receive the minister in court the day after the first attacks from the

Junts

Congress rostrum on members of the judiciary took place. In this context, legal sources assure that this restlessness and discomfort will be transmitted by the Supreme Court judges to Félix Bolaños when the meeting finally takes place.

In recent months, the parliamentary spokesperson for Junts,

Miriam Nogueras,

has described several members of the High Court as "indecent", such as its former president Carlos Lesmes, the president of the Criminal Chamber,

Manuel Marchena

, the instructor of the

process

,

Pablo Llarena

and the magistrate of this same Chamber Carmen Lamela.

But the attacks led by Carles Puigdemont's party were joined in the Congress by parties such as ERC, Sumar -government party-, Podemos and EH Bildu who charged against Marchena (rapporteur of the 1-O ruling) but also against the judge of the National Court, Manuel García Castellón - instructor of the CDR and Tsunami Democràtic - and against the instructor of the Russian plot of the

process

, Joaquín Aguirre.

On the other hand, the Supreme Court also plans to inform Bolaños of the critical situation that the last jurisdictional instance of our country is going through. With 25 vacancies - the last one being that of the magistrate of the Third Chamber

Celsa Pico

- and with Chambers, such as the Social and Contentious Chambers, with serious problems to operate due to the blockade of the General Council of the Judiciary and the legal reform that prevents discretionary appointments.

Following the accusations of

lawfare

made by the independence movement - following the investiture agreement that the

PSOE

signed with Junts where the socialists opened the door to creating investigative commissions to review judicial decisions - the Government Chamber of the

Supreme Court

issued a statement demanding "absolute respect for the division of powers" and considered "the supervision or supervision of jurisdictional work by other powers of the State to be incompatible with it."
