As the parliamentarian noted, the bill was prepared

back in November last year.

“And it is no coincidence that it was prepared by a senator from Crimea, because when we come to our subject, communicating with people who live in new subjects of the federation, we understand the relevance today of responsibility for such actions that are aimed at destabilizing industry, transport, agriculture, aimed to weaken state power today, our economy, to ensure that the decrees of the President of the Russian Federation are not executed,” the senator explained.

She emphasized that the article itself is “not punitive in nature,” it has more of a protective function, because it protects the interests of the state, society, and citizen.

“I will present all proposals to the chairman of the committee, and we will summarize them. The law, I am sure, is necessary. We will work on completing it. Suffice it to say that the legal department of the Federation Council gave a positive opinion on the bill, but now we need a very correct, very verified wording in order to make it convenient for law enforcers to work with it. Therefore, this kind of work was carried out, we hope for the support of civil society, the scientific community supported it, which was presented at the round table meeting. And we will summarize it all, think it through and carefully submit the law, we will consult with all the deputies and subjects,” concluded RT’s interlocutor.

Earlier, Kovitidi emphasized in a conversation with RT that the international community should evaluate and condemn the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ strike on Belgorod.

In addition, the parliamentarian noted that she supports the decision to bring this issue to the UN Security Council for discussion.
