Li Yongzhong, Minister of the Chinese Embassy in Brazil, said that this year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Brazil. In order to further facilitate personnel exchanges between the two countries and strengthen bilateral cooperation in various fields, the two countries will, from now on, issue multiple-entry visas valid for up to ten years to citizens of the other country who enter the country for business, tourism, and family visits. We are willing to work with relevant Brazilian departments to continue to optimize visa policies and create favorable conditions for smooth personnel exchanges between the two countries. We look forward to more Brazilian friends visiting China and contributing to promoting China-Brazil cooperation in various fields.
Neto said that he was very honored to be granted the first ten-year multiple-visit visa to China. China's development achievements are admirable, and Brazil-China friendship has a bright future. I believe that relevant visa facilitation policies will encourage more Brazilians to visit China.
During the fourth comprehensive strategic dialogue at the foreign minister level between China and Brazil in January 2024, the two countries signed the "Agreement between the Governments of the People's Republic of China and the Federal Republic of Brazil on the Issuance of Ten-Year Multiple Visas for Each Other's Business, Tourism, and Relative Visitors" and decided to Starting from February 19, 2024, multiple-entry visas with a validity period of up to ten years will be issued to eligible citizens of both parties.
