Anton Petrov, head of the Russian Railways high-speed transport directorate, spoke about this in an interview with RIA Novosti.
“We expect to become a testing ground for this technology,” he said.
At the same time, Petrov noted that from a technical point of view, namely ensuring the verification of QR codes by mobile devices of the conductor, the company is already ready.
“Now we are waiting for decisions at the ministry and company level to begin this test,” Petrov added.
Russian Railways also stated that information about the transported pet will appear on tickets in the second half of the year.
