The Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan (Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan) held a meeting to discuss how to ensure a stable succession to the Imperial Throne, and the issue of creating a "female imperial family" in which female members of the Imperial Family remain in the Imperial Household even after marriage was an issue that ``needs urgent discussion as an especially urgent issue.'' An arrangement proposal was presented.

On the 20th, the Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan held a committee meeting in the Diet to consider issues such as a stable succession to the Imperial Throne.

Former Prime Minister Noda, who serves as the committee's chairman, said, ``At the end of last year, Speaker Nukaga of the House of Representatives listened to the party's internal discussions, and I felt that the party was aiming to get a bill passed by each party during the regular Diet session.'' "I would like to be able to gather opinions within the committee," he said, and presented a plan for organizing the points at issue.

Regarding the establishment of a ``female imperial family,'' in which female members of the imperial family can remain in the imperial family even after marriage, the statement states, ``It is highly likely that female members of the imperial family will leave the imperial family due to marriage in the near future, and we need to urgently discuss this as an especially urgent issue.'' The government also points out that it is necessary to consider the idea of granting imperial status to the spouses and children of female members of the imperial family.

Regarding the idea of adopting a male lineage male from the former imperial family, the government decided to confirm the potential adopters and, based on the Constitution's stipulations for ``equality before the law'', ``consistency with constitutional provisions.'' "We should consider whether or not we should have one."

The Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan plans to finalize its thinking as a party by the end of March.
