According to information from Europe 1, the FNSEA and the Young Farmers have obtained authorization for an event from the Prefecture for this Friday, the day before the start of the Agricultural Show. Between 1,000 to 1,500 farmers are expected to march from the Sèvres-Lecourbe metro station to the Porte de Versailles where the Agricultural Show will be held. 

A few days before the start of the Agricultural Show, which will take place from this Saturday February 24 until Sunday March 3, the mobilization of farmers risks intensifying. According to information from Europe 1, the two main agricultural unions, the FNSEA and the Young Farmers (JA) obtained authorization to demonstrate this Friday, a day before the start of the show. This demonstration will take place even though the FNSEA and the JA will be received by Emmanuel Macron this Tuesday.

Refusal of a demonstration for the day of the Salon 

The event will start from Place Henri Queuille near the Sèvres-Lecourbe metro station to the entrance to the Salon de l'Agriculture, Porte de Versailles. Between 1,000 to 1,500 farmers will be present to lead the procession. 14 tractors will be in the mobilization, each representing a region. Once there, the organizations will speak to the media.

The unions also wanted to organize a mobilization this Saturday, the first day of the Show. Their request was refused by the Paris Prefecture. On Monday, farmers demonstrated from Dunkirk to Marseille to maintain pressure on the government from which they expect more than "half measures".
