In addition to Martine Moïse, we also find in this list, the former interim Prime Minister, Claude Joseph and the former director general of the national police, Léon Charles, writes our correspondent in Port-au-Prince

,

Marie André Belange

. All must be arrested and brought to justice, recommends the judge in his report. The magistrate requested the referral of all these people to the criminal court “

to be judged on the facts of criminal association, armed robbery, of terrorism, assassination and complicity in assassination, crimes committed to the prejudice

 ” of President Moïse.

In his order made public on February 19, Judge Walter Wesser Voltaire reveals that the statements of the former first lady relating to the assassination of President Jovenel Moïse on the night of July 6 to 7, 2021 in his residence are tainted by contradictions and leave something to be desired but also discredit it. Indeed, Judge Voltaire's investigation relates damning facts.

Even a giant rat can't get “

under the bed

To have protected herself from the attackers on the evening of the attack, the wife of ex-president Jovenel Moïse suggested that she had taken refuge under the couple's marital bed. However, the visit to the premises made it possible to discover that, even a giant rat, whose size measures between 35 and 45 centimeters, cannot access “

under the bed

” according to the indictment.

Furthermore, two days after the assassination of the president, Ms. Moïse called the secretary general of the presidential palace to tell him that Jovenel had done nothing. We must open the president's office to allow Claude Joseph, then Prime Minister, to organize a Council of Ministers and that he would carry out elections so that she could succeed Jovenel Moïse. Judge Voltaire considers that the data collected during the investigation is sufficient to charge the former first lady, Marie Étienne Martine Joseph Moïse, with the constitution of a civil party.

On July 7, 2021, Jovenel Moïse was shot and killed in his private residence at the age of 53 by a commando of more than 20 people, mainly Colombian mercenaries, without his bodyguards intervening, writes the AFP. Martine Moïse herself was injured during the attack.
