After lawyer Guy-Hervé Kam at the end of January, it was an active member of the civil society movement Balai Citoyen, Rasmané Zinaba, who was arrested this Tuesday, February 20 in the morning. The arrest of this pillar of Citizen Balai, responsible in particular for mobilization, was confirmed by members. Rasmané Zinaba was arrested early at his home in the heart of Ouagadougou by “

Last November, the military authorities released a list of seven people requisitioned to go to the front, which included Dr. Daouda Diallo, a human rights defender arrested on December 1, the politician Ablassé Ouedraogo, arrested on December 24, journalists and two members of Citizen Balai, including Rasmané Zinaba.

Le Balai Citoyen calls for “

the immediate release of Rasmané Zinaba

A group of lawyers then took this procedure to court and requested its annulment, considering that these “

requisitions were arbitrary, irregular, in particular that age conditions were not taken into account

”.

On December 6, the summary judge of the Ouagadougou administrative court ordered the suspension of these requisitions, in particular that of Rasmané Zinaba, and prohibited the command of military operations from any deployment of these people.

In a press release released this Tuesday, Citizen Balai indicates that it has contacted its lawyers and demands “

the immediate release of Rasmané Zinaba

”.
