In an interview given to the daily this Sunday, the Head of State returns in particular to the rise of the National Rally during his mandate and the links maintained between his group and that of Marine Le Pen.
Emmanuel Macron will bring Missak Manouchian and 23 of his comrades-in-arms into the Pantheon on Wednesday, an "act of recognition" of the communist and foreign resistance to the Nazi occupier, and believes that the National Rally (RN) is not welcome because of its “relationship” to this past.
Once again, the head of state attacks the National Rally. In an interview with
l'Humanité
, Emmanuel Macron explains that he only ever considered the RN or Reconquest! was part of the republican arc. Same thing with regard to “certain personalities” of France Insoumise who fight the values of the Republic. The President is therefore undertaking a new attempt to define the contours of this republican arc.

He stands out above all from his Prime Minister who declared "The republican arc is the hemicycle", therefore including the RN deputies in passing. It must be said that a few days earlier, the President seemed to be on the same line since he had explained that he wanted to build up text by text majorities which can be supplemented or increased by the votes of the National Rally.
