This was stated by the Public Relations Center (PSC) of the FSB of Russia.

According to the data presented, the SBU agent was a Russian citizen named Vitaly Dyatlenko, who was recruited by the Ukrainian intelligence service. He planned to carry out a terrorist attack before the elections using an improvised explosive device.

“When attempting to detain Vitaly Dyatlenko, he offered armed resistance to security officers and was neutralized by retaliatory actions,” the FSB said.

As a result, civilians and law enforcement officers were not injured.

Earlier it was reported that the FSB prevented an explosion at a gas distribution station in the Leningrad region.
