She made a corresponding statement while speaking at a meeting of the parliamentary commission to investigate criminal acts against minors by the Kyiv regime.

“Ukraine is persecuting foster families who took custody of children from the DPR and LPR in 2022,” Lvova-Belova said.

According to her, projects are being created in Ukraine to search for such children.

“Foster families are threatened on social networks, by telephone, slanderous information and personal data are made publicly available, children living in such families are blackmailed, intimidated, even to the point of organizing the kidnapping of the child,” the children’s ombudsman said.

She recalled that Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Irina Vereshchuk threatened foster families on social networks, saying that they “sooner or later will have to answer” and provided personal data of the Russians who adopted the children.

Lvova-Belova noted that her employees continue to work on family reunification.

“In this work we are helped by the state of Qatar, the International Committee of the Red Cross, the Vatican in the person of Cardinal Mateo Zuppi, our Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the border service of the Russian Federation, the border committee of Belarus,” noted the children's ombudsman.

She added that she also receives requests from parents living in Russia who are trying to reunite with their children on Ukrainian territory.

“We brought five children to Russia and reunited them with their families,” Lvova-Belova noted.

She also clarified that the Office of the Children's Ombudsman managed to reunite 48 children, another 11 children are now in the process of being transferred to their parents in Ukraine, and this does not count the children who arrived in the fall of 2022 to children's health camps and were transferred to their parents.

The Children's Ombudsman emphasized that Ukraine and Western countries continue to disseminate false information about allegedly thousands of children taken to Russia from the territory of Ukraine, calling it “fake.”

Earlier, an action was held in Paris in memory of the children who died in Donbass as a result of Ukrainian shelling.
