He said this at a meeting dedicated to preparations for the presidential elections in the Russian Federation in 2024.
According to him, not all relocants take an anti-Russian position, most of them are apolitical, but there are those who not only oppose their country, but also try to harm it with various provocations.
“Not all relocants are clearly our enemies. Many of them are basically apolitical and have already returned to their homeland, but those who remain take extremely Russophobic positions and, as far as we know, are preparing to carry out various kinds of provocations on the eve of and during the elections,” Askaldovich said.
Earlier, State Duma deputy Vasily Piskarev said that persons recognized in Russia as foreign agents and those located outside of it are trying to arrange provocations near Russian foreign institutions in order to discredit the upcoming presidential elections.
