The occupation has killed hundreds since the beginning of the war on Gaza (Reuters)

The occupation army announced on Monday that a soldier was killed in battles in the southern Gaza Strip yesterday, Sunday, while Al Jazeera’s correspondent reported that battles and clashes continued between the resistance and the Israeli army in Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip.

Thus, the number of Israeli army deaths rose to 574 since the beginning of the war on the 7th of last October, including 236 in the ground battles that began on the 27th of the same month, according to an army statement.

The occupation army explained that the soldier in the 202nd Battalion, Paratroopers Brigade, was killed in a battle in the southern Gaza Strip, without adding further details about the nature of the battles that led to the soldier’s death.

The occupation army announced yesterday that the toll of its wounded had risen to 2,938 soldiers who had been injured since the beginning of the war, and described the wounds of 447 soldiers as serious, and 39 of them were still undergoing treatment in hospitals.

The Israeli army also announced that its ground and air rescue units carried out 230 rescue operations and transferred injured soldiers from inside the Gaza Strip to Israeli hospitals.

Siren

For his part, Al Jazeera's correspondent reported that Israeli vehicles attempted to penetrate the vicinity of the Algeria Specialized Hospital in Abasan, east of Khan Yunis, amid clashes with the resistance.

He added that sirens sounded in several locations around the Gaza Strip, indicating that it was being targeted from the Strip.

Abu Ubaida, spokesman for the Al-Qassam Brigades - the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), said in a speech last Friday that the brigades’ fighters are inflicting heavy and unprecedented losses on the ranks of the Israeli occupation army, unprecedented in the history of the Palestinian people.

It is noteworthy that Israel is concealing its real losses in the ongoing battles in the Gaza Strip, amid leaks from Israeli hospitals indicating that they are receiving a larger number of injured people than what is announced.
