The formation of fog in recent days in the tourist region of Cappadocia in central Turkey, located between the provinces of Nevsehir and Aksaray, arouses the interest of tourists coming to see the fairy chimneys and rock formations, where seas of fog form and can be seen from the high Uç Hisar Castle.

The castle is one of the landmarks of Cappadocia, which hosted many civilizations in the past. It is one of the important tourist centers in the country, and even in the world, because of its tourist attractions of wide international fame, and it currently welcomes tourists in all seasons of the year.

It is believed that the name "fairy chimneys" goes back to ancient popular beliefs, according to which the jinn live in the region's caves and rocks known as "chimneys", and they result from the interaction of natural factors, millions of years ago, and the friction of volcanic rocks in general, with flood waters and strong winds, as Over time, it took on conical shapes with a rocky mass at its top.

Tourists can see the unique view by climbing the stairs leading to the top of the building, which was carved into several rooms during the Roman era, and the townspeople used it as a shelter until the 1960s.

Tourists have an enjoyable time visiting the summit, especially as it provides a view of the world above the clouds when the area is covered in fog.

Chinese tourist Sun Kaichun said that he was impressed by the historical and natural landmarks of the city of Cappadocia, which he visited for the first time, and that the foggy weather gave a different appearance to the environment, noting, "We started a sunny day in the morning, then the fog began and the surrounding areas became invisible."

For his part, Mustafa Erdem, a local tourist, described the view that appeared around the fairy chimneys and rock formations due to the effect of the fog as “wonderful.”
