Israeli occupation special forces stormed Tulkarm camp in the northern occupied West Bank this morning amid violent armed clashes with Palestinian resistance fighters there, resulting in casualties.

Al Jazeera's correspondent said that the occupation forces pushed military reinforcements, accompanied by a bulldozer, into the camp's alleys, spread throughout its neighborhoods, and raided citizens' homes. Its snipers also mounted the roofs of buildings in the camp.

Al Jazeera's correspondent reported that violent clashes took place between the occupation forces and resistance fighters inside the Tulkarm camp, after they stormed the camp and sent military reinforcements to it. Meanwhile, the Palestinian Red Crescent announced two injuries by occupation forces’ bullets, one of which was a child who was hit in the head in the camp.

Earlier, confrontations continued between Palestinian youth and the occupation forces in the Shuafat Camp, north of occupied Jerusalem, following the Kiryat Malachi operation carried out by a resident of the camp, while settler attacks on villages and towns were renewed throughout the West Bank.

Medical sources reported that a young Palestinian man was injured by bullets from the occupation forces, who stormed the Shuafat camp, yesterday, Saturday, for the second day in a row, following the shooting attack carried out by Sheikh Fadi Jamjoom in Kiryat Malachi, east of Ashdod, where he killed two Israelis and wounded 4 others, before his martyrdom.

The occupation army deployed its forces in several neighborhoods in the camp, which led to the outbreak of confrontations, and the Shuafat checkpoint was closed to the movement of residents.

On the other hand, settlers' attacks on Palestinians were renewed, as a group of them attacked the town of Turmus Ayya, north of Ramallah, during the night.

The settlers attacked the property of residents in the town, burned a car, and wrote racist slogans against Arabs on the walls.

Settlers' attacks in all their forms have escalated, including the construction of settlement outposts in the occupied West Bank coinciding with the war on Gaza, as the occupation army provides protection for the settlers during their repeated attacks on the Palestinians.

The West Bank is witnessing field confrontations between Palestinians and the Israeli occupation army, interspersed with raids and arrests of Palestinians, and the number of detainees in the West Bank has risen to 7,040 Palestinians since last October 7 until February 15 of this year.

A joint statement by the Prisoners' and Ex-Prisoners' Affairs Authority and the Palestinian Prisoners' Club issued three days ago said that these arrests "include those who were arrested from homes, through military checkpoints, those who were forced to surrender themselves under pressure, and those who were held hostage."

The Israeli occupation army's escalation of its attacks in the West Bank coincides with its ongoing aggression against the Gaza Strip, which left tens of thousands of civilians martyred and wounded, most of them children and women.
