The international press continued to highlight fears that the occupation army would invade the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip and the repercussions that might result from that, amid mounting international demands for the necessity of putting an end to the Israeli war on Gaza.

The British newspaper "The Guardian" said that Rafah is experiencing a tragic situation, and that dozens are trapped in the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Yunis. Despite this, Israel insists on storming the border city with Egypt, ignoring the appeals of the most prominent world leaders, the latest of whom are the leaders of the Group of Seven.

In turn, an analysis in the American newspaper "Washington Post" concluded that the Israeli army's claims that the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) uses hospitals are refuted by foreign doctors working at the Nasser Medical Complex.

These doctors stressed that they did not notice any movement activity throughout their stay in the hospital, and the newspaper quoted analysts as saying that the force of the Israeli attacks on hospitals outweighs any potential danger lurking within them.

Regarding Washington’s policies in the Middle East, an article by Greg Brady on the National Interest website called on US President Joe Biden to distance himself from the Israeli right.

The writer said that Biden, with the Israeli threat to storm Rafah, will cause a humanitarian catastrophe and irreparable damage to America’s interests if he does not show any firmness towards Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, adding that American policy so far has been an absolute green light for Israel.

For their part, French cultural, human rights and political figures called - in an article published by Le Monde newspaper - to force Israel to stop the war, and said that the world is required to do everything to stop what they called the “nihilistic logic” (genocide) with which Israel has surrounded itself.

The article called for suspending the partnership agreement between Europe and Israel to stop Netanyahu, whose policies followed for years failed to prevent October 7, according to the article.

The Israeli newspaper "Haaretz" stopped at a phenomenon that is now spreading among young people in the occupied West Bank, which is them writing their wills, due to the large number of assassinations carried out by the Israeli army, which target this group of young people.

The American newspaper "Politico" website asked, "Is Germany in the process of reviewing its absolute support for Israel in its war on Gaza?", after reviewing the explicit support shown by Chancellor Olaf Scholz for Israel the day after last October 7.

The site stopped at the German Foreign Minister's statement this week in Tel Aviv that the lives of the Palestinians are no less important than the security of Israel, then commented, saying, "In another country this statement seems very ordinary, but in Germany it expresses the beginning of a profound change."
