Burkina Faso: Captain Traoré minimizes departure from ECOWAS country

In Burkina Faso, captain Ibrahim Traoré took part in a large gathering at the Ouaga 2000 sports palace in the capital. Coming from the 13 regions of the country, representatives of the Citizen Monitoring Committees discussed their concerns with the president of the transition. He also returned to his country's departure from the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

In front of a crowd committed to the cause of those in power, Aboubacar Tagnan, the spokesperson for the national coordination of the patriotic citizen watch, praised the “

courageous decisions

” of the authorities. He cited, among other things, the equipment and organization of the armed forces, the establishment of monitoring committees, the creation of the AES, the Alliance of Sahel States, and finally the withdrawal from the Economic Community West African States (ECOWAS). He also asked for a review of the transition charter, so that it could be extended over time, drawing applause from the public.

Captain Ibrahim Traoré then entered the scene. The president of the transition regularly referred to Captain Thomas Sankara and invited his supporters to remain mobilized. The officer explained that the sanctions as well as the non-assistance to the populations of the Sahel had led Burkina

to slam the door on the West African community

Captain Ibrahim Traoré invited his participants to remain mobilized for citizen monitoring. Warning that there would be no more feeling for those who betray Burkina Faso for the benefit of imperialism, he said.
