The Humanitarian Relief Organization organized the “Resistance Forum” yesterday evening (Anatolia)

The Turkish Humanitarian Relief Foundation (IHH) organized the tenth edition of the “Resistance Forum” on Saturday evening, where the events of the Gaza Strip were reviewed on the agenda.

The meeting began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an in the Sinan Erdem Sports Hall in Istanbul, followed by a speech by the head of the Turkish Relief Organization, Bulent Yildirim, who revealed the organization’s intention to visit Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Yildirim explained that the Authority purchased ships from the donations provided to it, to be used in humanitarian aid activities to Gaza.

The head of the Authority announced the launch of a new campaign for Gaza relief, and called on the audience in the hall to support the Authority in purchasing ships that will depart from Europe, with the participation of activists from several countries, including Turkey.

He added that they will sail across the Mediterranean, seek to enter Egypt, and then enter the port of Gaza.

He pointed out that the goal of the Humanitarian Relief Organization is to respond to the calls of the children of Gaza, “demanding a piece of bread.”

In the same context, it is noteworthy that the International Freedom Flotilla coalition intends to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza via the sea, in light of the continuing Israeli attacks and the deteriorating humanitarian situation in the Strip.

The coalition includes a large number of international civil society organizations and activists, including the Turkish Humanitarian Relief Foundation, and is supported by organizations in Canada, the United States, New Zealand, Australia, Norway, Malaysia, Sweden, South Africa, Spain and Turkey.

The coalition explained, in a press statement last week, that a fleet will launch soon with the aim of delivering thousands of tons of emergency humanitarian aid directly to the Palestinians in Gaza.

For his part, the Turkish Head of Religious Affairs, Ali Arbash, sent a video message to the forum. Erbaş said in his letter that attacks against Muslims in Palestine, East Turkestan and many parts of the world are "not new."

He added that those who claim that Islam spread by the force of the sword are the ones who committed, caused or supported massacres unprecedented for centuries.

He stressed that Israel is not committed to any international rule, law, or custom, and declares frankly that it will not adhere to those customs, and is showing unprecedented brutality in Jerusalem, Gaza, and the West Bank.

Erbaş also expressed his regret about the fragmentation of the Islamic world in light of these grave challenges.

Thousands of people who filled the hall waved Turkish and Palestinian flags, accompanied religious songs and chanted anti-Israel slogans.
