The designed photo that Al-Qassam published on her Telegram account (communication sites)

The Al-Qassam Brigades - the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) - published a designed image bearing a message saying, “Your government is lying to you,” in reference to the Israeli government’s delay in reaching an agreement regarding detainees.

The photo published by Al-Qassam on its Telegram account shows Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu throwing in the trash a file titled “Prisoners’ File” and replacing it in front of him with another file titled “Bribery that leads to the cohesion of the ruling coalition.”

The publication of the photo coincides with the cancellation of a meeting scheduled to be held tomorrow, Monday, between the Israeli Prime Minister and representatives of the families of those detained by the resistance in the Gaza Strip.

On the other hand, the Washington Post quoted an informed source as saying that Netanyahu’s rejection of Hamas’ demands to complete the prisoner exchange deal does not mean that he prevents Israeli negotiators from engaging and working behind the scenes in the talks aimed at reaching a deal.

A leading source in the Hamas movement announced that the movement intends to suspend negotiations until aid and relief are brought into the northern Gaza Strip.

The leading Hamas source said yesterday, Saturday, that negotiations cannot be held while hunger is devouring the Palestinian people.

Hamas conditions

In turn, the head of the Hamas Political Bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, stressed that the resistance will not accept anything less than a complete cessation of aggression, the occupation’s withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, the lifting of the siege, and the provision of shelter for the displaced.

Haniyeh added that the movement deals with the ongoing negotiations in a positive spirit and with high responsibility and will not neglect the sacrifices of the Palestinian people and the achievements of their resistance, holding the Israeli occupation responsible for maneuvering and procrastination in the issue of truce negotiations and prisoner exchange.

On the other hand, Israeli Army Radio reported, quoting Education Minister Yoav Kish, that the failure of the delegation concerned with the detainee negotiations to travel does not mean that nothing will happen.

The Israeli minister added that there are ongoing talks, but as long as Hamas adheres to its demands, it is impossible to advance them. He said that military pressure will continue, because this is the only effective thing that will lead to reaching an agreement, as he put it.

In turn, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that work is continuing with Qatar, Egypt and Israel to reach a final agreement on the prisoners, and that this is now possible.
