Over the past night, attempts by the Kyiv regime to carry out a terrorist attack using 33 aircraft-type drones were prevented in five regions of Russia, the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense reported.

“Duty air defense systems intercepted and destroyed over the territories of Belgorod (four UAVs), Voronezh (four UAVs), Kursk (one UAV), Bryansk (18 UAVs) and Kaluga (six UAVs) regions,” the message says.

In particular, air defense systems on duty on approach to Voronezh discovered and destroyed three aircraft-type UAVs.

“According to updated data from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the remains of a UAV damaged the roof of a private house on Turkmensky Proezd in Voronezh. There were no casualties. We will help with repairs as soon as possible,” said regional governor Alexander Gusev.

In the Kaluga region, drones were shot down in the Lyudinovsky and Kozelsky districts. According to Governor Vladislav Shapsha, there were no casualties or destruction of infrastructure.

In the Bryansk region, air defense forces destroyed drones over the Pogarsky, Klintsovsky and Bryansk regions, said the regional governor Alexander Bogomaz.

“There were no injuries or damage. Emergency services are working on the spot. Thanks to our air defense units!” — he wrote on Telegram.

In the Belgorod region, aircraft-type UAVs were shot down near the village of Vislaya Dubrava in the Gubkinsky urban district. At the same time, as Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported, a missile warning signal was announced in the region for approximately three hours (from 05:09 to 07:46 Moscow time).

“If you are at home, do not go near the windows. Take shelter in rooms without windows with solid walls (hallway, bathroom, toilet, pantry). If you are on the street, go down to a shelter or other safe place,” the head of the region reminded.

In the Kursk region, a missile warning signal was also in effect until 09:29 Moscow time.

“Dear Kursk residents, this night turned out to be sleepless and restless. For now, the missile warning signal remains in place in the Kursk region. All services are in full readiness. I will keep you informed,” said regional governor Roman Starovoyt.

The day before, an attempt by the Kyiv regime to carry out a terrorist attack on targets on the territory of the Russian Federation was also stopped. As reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense, on the night of February 16, five Ukrainian drones were destroyed by air defense systems on duty over the territory of the Belgorod region and over the Black Sea.

During the day, another Ukrainian aircraft-type drone was shot down over the Unechsky district of the Bryansk region.

In addition, the outskirts of the village of Poroz, Grayvoronsky urban district, Belgorod region, was attacked by the Ukrainian Armed Forces using a kamikaze drone. As a result of the attack, a communication infrastructure facility was damaged.

Russian Foreign Ministry official Maria Zakharova noted during a briefing on February 14 that Ukrainian neo-Nazis do not stop barbaric shelling of civilians in Russian regions. She cited data from the DPR authorities, who reported that since the beginning of 2024 alone, 58 people have been killed in the republic, 204 civilians have been injured, and about 390 residential buildings have been destroyed.

At the same time, Zakharova emphasized that the West not only ignores the terrorist activity of the Kyiv junta, but also turns a blind eye to any crimes and threats to commit them.

“The other day, the Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, Mikhail Fedorov, made a literally gangster statement in the style of Al-Qaeda* and ISIS** (which are banned and recognized throughout the world as terrorist organizations), promising large-scale explosions throughout Russia,” she said.

In this regard, the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry called on the leaders of the Kyiv regime to remember that Russian law enforcement agencies record all such statements.

“No one should have any illusions that the Kyiv regime will get away with such statements and atrocities. Russian law enforcement agencies monitor and record everything. All persons involved in terrorist attacks will inevitably be brought to justice,” Zakharova said.
